Getting Chiang Mai
There are several daily flights, buses, and trains operating between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Express and rapid trains leave for Chiang Mai from Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Station.
Song Taew or red mini-bus is the most common means of transportation in town adn the fare is negotiable. Other choices of transportation are metered taxis, rental cars, and bicycles.
